When, where, and how do I register my child for ANMBF Dance Academy classes?

In-Person registration for our upcoming semesters takes place in July for the Fall Semester and December for the Spring Semester. $50.00 (cash/card) monthly fee paid on the first Saturday of each month and $25.00 (cash) Registration must be covered on the first day of class. $15.oo Parks and Recreation Centers fee may be added to adults and non-residents of the City of Dallas.

My child has never danced ballet folklorico before. Where do they start?
 
They would start at our ANMBF Dance Academy, which holds folklorico classes every Saturday for beginners ages 3 and up (including adults) at the Anita Martinez Recreation Center.

How old does my child have to be to take ANMBF Dance Academy classes?
 
Students must be at least 3 years old in order to take ANMBF Dance Academy classes.

Do you offer other types of classes besides ballet folklorico at the ANMBF Dance Academy?

We also offer classical ballet classes, we have a toddlers class for 3-5 year olds and a Classical ballet kids for 6-11 year olds. 

When are ANMBF Dance Academy classes held?

Where are ANMBF Dance Academy classes held?

At the Anita Martinez Recreation Center - 3212 N. Winnetka Ave, Dallas, TX 75212

How long is each class?

50 mins.

Can I register my child for both ballet folklorico and classical ballet classes?

Yes, as long as they are between the ages of 3 and 11 years old, you can register for both types of classes.

After I've registered and paid my dues for ANMBF Dance Academy classes, when would they start taking classes?

The first day of class will be on located on the flyer in the Dance Academy section.

What will my child need to bring/wear for the first day of class at ANMBF Dance Academy?

All students need to wear a black leotard (girls) or black shirt (boys) and black workout bottoms, and if they are enrolled in a folklorico class, folklorico shoes, which can be purchased from Sandy's Dancewear located at 2211 Gus Thomasson Rd. Dallas, TX 75228.

**All students are allowed to bring any type of workout clothes for the first day of class while you get the proper attire.

When is the last of ANMBF Dance Academy day of activity?

The last day of Dance Academy activities is ou Recital. Please see start and end dates here.

What will my child need to wear for the recital?
 
Costumes will be assigned by teacher for each class. You will receive more information on your first day of class. 

Do you offer classes for adults?
 
Yes!  For adults we offer a teen and adult beginner folklorico class on Saturdays.

12:30 PM Intermediate Teen and Adult Class

Once I've registered for your adult class on Tuesdays, when would I begin taking classes?
 
You would begin taking classes according to the Schedules on the flyer. See the Dance Academy section.
